Warm Touch™ can be installed on any sub floor surface prepared to Tile Council of America Handbook recommendations. Warm Touch™ is set directly under tile or stone in the thin-set Portland cement mortar. The Warm Touch™ heating mat is so thin that it will add little more than 1/8 inch to the finished installation.

The Warm Touch™ heating element construction consists of two to seven strands of resistance wire wrapped around a core of high strength, Aramid fibers. This heating core is insulated and protected by two layers of upgraded thermoplastic. The insulated core is then wrapped in a braided tinned copper grounding layer, further protecting the heating element. A final thermoplastic layer protects the total heating element assembly. Cold leads are tinned copper for superior connections. This design utilizes the most advanced materials available for electrical resistance heating construction.

The Warm Touch™ heating mat features our unique heating element, fabricated in an 'S' pattern, woven into a strong resilient synthetic fabric mat. This pattern allows the mat to safely respond to any expansion, contraction, settling or flexing of the sub floor. The woven fabric structure also ensures uniform spacing of the heating wire and is porous enough to allow penetration of the thin-set mortar. This produces an installation which maintains the integrity of the adhesion of the sub floor and the floor covering material, assuring the longevity of the installation as well as even heat distribution. Supplied in rolls in a variety of widths and lengths, Warm Touch™ can easily be configured to fit any space.
